What is kg/cm² pressure?
kg/cm² (kilogram-force per square centimeter) is a metric pressure unit common in older gauges, tire equipment, and Asian and European industry. One kg/cm² is the pressure of one kilogram of force spread over one square centimeter, which is very close to one bar (about 0.98 bar).
How do you convert PSI to kg/cm²?
Multiply the PSI value by 0.0703069: kg/cm² = psi x 0.0703069. For example, 32 psi is about 2.25 kg/cm². To convert back, multiply kg/cm² by 14.2233 to get PSI.
Is kg/cm² the same as bar?
Almost, but not exactly. One kg/cm² equals 0.980665 bar, so they differ by about 2 percent. For rough tire and tank work they are often treated as interchangeable, but for precise engineering the difference matters.
