You can walk on fresh asphalt after 24 to 48 hours and drive passenger vehicles on it after 3 to 5 days. Full curing takes 6 to 12 months, so avoid sharp turns in place, prolonged parking in one spot, and heavy loads during that period to prevent surface impressions.
How much waste should I add to my order?
Plan for 5 to 10 percent extra on a standard rectangular driveway to cover compaction loss, edge spillage, and minor subgrade irregularities. For irregular shapes, curves, or sloped areas, buffer up to 15 percent. Add that percentage to the tons figure the calculator gives you before placing your order.
